The Beautiful Ordinary - Update!

Posted on September 17th, 2007 by Stephanie

Today we've got good news and we've got bad news.

The bad news is that TBO needs a distributor to even be considered for a limited indie theater release, let alone a regular theatrical release. crying

The good news is that TBO was in the Temecula Valley International Film Festival this month, so it still might have a chance!
It showed twice at the film festival:
Fri, Sep 14, 8:00 PM | The Movie Experience - 6
Sun, Sep 16, 11:00 AM | The Movie Experience - 3
The movie is described as "A comedy drama set in the late 90's on the last day of school for a bunch of suburbanites."

Everyone keep your fingers crossed! To learn more about the film festival, go here: http://temeculavalley.bside.com/

Birthday Project Help Wanted!

Posted on September 15th, 2007 by Stephanie

If you sent in a picture for Alexa's birthday project and didn't say where it was from, you have until the 20th of this month to tell us. Some people sent us photos and didn't say what part of the state/country they're from. Since Alexa is in Canada anyway, I thought it'd be nice to give you the opportunity to add those in. We want to make sure she gets a complete project when she gets back. smile

Greylin's birthday project has a rough draft up now. You can help us with that one by sending in pictures of fairies, stars, etc. What we have now is a good start, but I'd like to have more variety. I'm also thinking about putting in some desktop wallpapers for her to have in the book, and doing single-sided printing so that she can pull them out of the book and use as posters if she wants to.

Send everything to af.magazine@yahoo.com by no later than September 20th. If you're telling us about a picture for Alexa's birthday book, please include the page number and where on the page it is so we can find it.

Thanks in advance for all your help. And thanks to those of you who participated in the projects. We really couldn't have done it without you. wink

Check out this behind the scenes video from the Repo recording studio thanks to bloody-disgusting.com. You can hear a bit of a song Alexa sings for the movie.

Just a little warning, this video contains strong language.

If you want to skip ahead to hear Alexa sing, start watching at around 4 minutes into the video.

Update!

Posted on September 7th, 2007 by Adam

Hello Everyone at AF!

I cannot tell you what an amazing year this has been so far!
As most of you know I have spent most of it living on my own for the first time ever! It was so weird living in New York without my mom or siblings. I begged my mom to come and stay with me but she said I needed the experience of living on my own : ) So I sucked it up. It was really hard for the first couple of months. Living on your own is not all it is cracked up to be. There are so many new responsibilities and chores, but most of all I missed having my family around.

Being a part of the Hairspray cast was such a great opportunity. I learned so much from the people I was working with and have so many great memories to take home with me. It was a tough show at the beginning, with the singing and dancing and trying to find my mark on stage. But once I got the hang of it, it became so much fun!
I was so happy that we were able to get DIANA to come up and see the show. I think we have some photos of her trip posted on here so be sure to take a look.

I am currently in Canada at the moment filming REPO: the genetic opera. Director Darren Bousman (most of you know his work from the SAW films) is seriously one of the greatest directors I have ever worked with. He is so involved with this project and knows how to really get the actors prepared for such an intense project. I have never heard of a film like the one we are shooting right now. It is so different and so rich with crazy sets, costumes, SONGS!!! and actors. We were so fortunate to get the incredible Paul Sorvino as one of our lead actors. Along with Anthony Head who is so fabulous to work with. And as most of you have heard... the heiress herself miss Paris Hilton. Such a rock star cast who are all so lovely to work with.. I cant wait for this project to release!!

I am still unsure whether or not they have released the names of the other actors on board. So until then, I hope you have all had an amazing summer!!!

Be sure to check for some new upcoming photos of the events from the Toronto film festivals starting from the end of this week until next week.
Cheers!

Yes the rumors are true. Alexa now has an official Facebook. It was just made yesterday so those of you who found it already are fast!

Remember, if you think you've found any of Alexa's "official sites" don't believe it until we post about it here cause it's most likely not real. To see a list of her official sites, check out the links page here
