Personal History: Agent Cortez was born on a cargo plane over uncharted waters somewhere in the South Pacific. (This would explain her incurable wanderlust.) Her parents, OSS Agents Ingrid and Gregorio Cortez, were just returning from a successful mission on a remote island. When Carmen was born, her parents reportedly decided to drop out of the spy business for a less death-defying life as computer consultants. That is, until they returned to active duty three years ago. See OSS document #47205, The Floop File. It was during the Floop mission that Carmen and her brother, Juni, became Spy Kids. From that moment on, the young Cortezes led the Spy Kids division in eviscerating evil, battling badness, mashing meanness, and generally saving the world on a regular basis.
